The Animal League stays true to its mission by continuously taking animals out of harms way, and giving them a second chance for the happy life they deserve.

Our Rescue Teams save pets from:

  • Municipal shelters that provide animal control and where dogs, cats, puppies and kittens face imminent destruction
  • Other shelters where pets are euthanized as a means of population control
  • Areas where due to extreme overpopulation, animals face death because there’s virtually no chance of adoption
  • Natural disasters, including hurricanes and floods
  • Puppy mills that perpetuate indescribable acts of animal cruelty
